Single Expert Property Valuations

This is our most common request structure, we are jointly appointed to undertake property valuations by the legal representatives or the parties to the family law matter. The highest level of professionalism is ensured through the process with all communication and the valuation reports provided simultaneously to both instructing parties.

Retrospective Property Valuations

Retrospective valuations are undertaken as a standalone valuation or in conjunction with a current market value request. We undertake the valuation as the property was as at the retrospective date, based upon historic market evidence and utilising historic arial imagery.

Property Valuation Critiques & Questions to the Expert

Issues can arise with single expert valuation reports and we are often requested to provide written critiques of other Valuer’s valuation reports. We can also draft questions for clarification of the report. This is undertaken, as with all our assignments, impartially as we will never act as an advocate for an instructing party.

Shadow Valuations

This is a valuation request to provide an independent valuation report of property where a single expert or another valuation report has already been prepared. The shadow valuer may, or may not, be provided with the first valuation report. You should check with your legal representative before commissioning us to undertake a shadow valuation.
